Rosener House held one of its semi-annual Open House events on Saturday, May 20. This is a time for family members to come with their loved ones to try out the activity program and see what we do here on a typical weekday. Activity leaders, therapists, nursing staff, and social work staff were all on hand to speak with families and showcase the activities. We find this is a good way for families to appreciate how the activities can benefit their loved ones. We started the day off with a morning sing-a-long, as we do every day after our coffee hour. Guests then took part in the activities lead by professional staff members—exercise with our therapists, brain games, art class, and music groups.
From a visitor at Open House: “My friend’s husband came here. She told me it’s a great place. The caregiver group was important to her as well.”
If you missed the Open House, you can come for a tour any day of the week to see those activities and more. Call our Social Worker, Sarah Schachter, M.S.W., or Family Services Manager, Kathi Minden, at 650-322-0126 to schedule your personalized tour. The next Open House will be scheduled for Saturday, November 4, 2017.
